Ion Fiz Severine collection was presented in Madrid Fashion Week Fall 2016. Ion Fiz is inspired by “Severine” star of the film “Belle de jour”. Belle de Jour is a 1967 French drama film directed by Luis Buñuel and starring Catherine Deneuve, Jean Sorel, and Michel Piccoli. Based on the 1928 novel Belle de jour by Joseph Kessel, the film is about a young woman who spends her midweek afternoons as a prostitute while her husband is at work. Belle de Jour may also be a reference to the French name of the daylily, meaning beauty of the day, a flower that blossoms during the day.
Beauty, personality and character of Catherine Deneuve with style “Chic gentrified with a certain defiance” that “Severine” looks in the film are the “leitmotiv” of the collection. In Ion Fiz Severine collection you can notice the female silhouettes, overlapping pieces and mixing casual-couture garments.
